Missionary Giving Beyond the Parish
Each year our Parish selects three missionary projects beyond our Parish who we wish to support through prayer, finances and goods. This year we are supporting the following projects:
We support this local service through prayer, the contribution of goods to the local food pantry in Hunters Hill, and supporting the many good activities that this local charity provides, including care for those who are frail, lonely and disabled.
We support this national organisation through funds raised from “loose change” which is intentionally placed within BCA Money Boxes. These funds seek to support those especially working with Indigenous People, and within Indigenous Communities.
We support the work of Anglican Overseas Aid in the Solomon Islands where they work with the local people, particularly the local women, to reduce domestic violence and create safer communities.
Further to this our Parish supports the work of Anglicare (such as through clothing bins located on our properties), Archbishop’s Appeals, and other appeals as per the needs of our local, national and international community. In recent times we have partnered with Churches in Rural NSW to support those affected by drought. our Parish Council are currently reviewing this years options.
