Greetings! I invite you to join me on a tour that visits some of the earliest Christian communities, including those communities visited by Paul on his missionary journeys, and addressed by the author of the Book of Revelation. Walking in these places brings the bible to life, and helps us gain a deeper understanding of the context of the scriptures. Importantly, visiting such places in the context of “pilgrimage” opens our hearts and minds to God’s possibilities.
This is a “boutique” pilgrimage experience, with only a small group of between ten and fifteen pilgrims. While we are packing a lot in to the trip, we will also take time to be in places, pausing each day to talk, reflect and learn about the location, and taking time for prayer and worship, to read, or just for some peace and quiet.
We also have time to be “tourists” and to experience the contemporary culture and experiences of these two countries.
The Tour is organised by myself, through my trusted colleague Trish at Olive Tree Travel. The land cost per person is (twin share) $8,415.00 based on a minimum of ten, with further reductions possible for a group of up to 15 people. Single supplement is available for $1,950.00. Meals are as indicated (B= breakfast, L = lunch, D = Dinner). Drinks are not included. Tipping is about 20 euro per day. Flights are booked individually, through Olive Tree travel, or by negotiation. There are some additional costs for extras you may opt in, such as the hot-air balloon, or a Turkish bath!
To confirm your place please write to myself by Monday 24th February. On this date I will confirm that we have ten pilgrims, and ask Trish to provide updated costs and issue each person an invoice for a deposit of $2000 for the land costs, which needs to be paid by 28th February 2025. Pilgrims will also need to contact Trish to arrange flights, or confirm their own arrangements (ensuring they arrive in ample time), and these are paid at the time of booking. All final payments are to be paid by 1st August 2025.
